Warrior wins at Newcastle, Hexham and Ayr runners – Kinneston

A fine spring day and a pleasing winner at Newcastle yesterday with Warriors Story getting off the mark. He hasn’t been straightforward but won well and now we have him worked out ought to be able to progress. Earlier on the card Chanting Hill was slightly disappointing when finishing 5th, not beaten a long way but this isn’t the first time she hasn’t quite run her race at Newcastle.

Over at Aintree Lake View Lad thoroughly enjoyed his time in the paddock and walking out on to the hallowed turf for one last time, I imagine he was quite pleased to then head back to his stable for some hay, what a magnificent result in the race itself, another amazing chapter in the history of the race.

On to Hexham tomorrow where we have two runners in the 2.40, Gipsy Lee Rose (Bruce) who unseated when going well there last time and Wavelength (Sean Quinlan) who I think will improve for the step up in trip – 12 run.

Then it will be on to Ayr on Tuesday where we start with Upandatit in the 2:40, conditions should suit him well and there will be more to come but he meets a very well handicapped looking horse. Conor O’Farrell rides and 9 run.

Then we run Gustav’s Dream in the 3:15 , she stayed on nicely on handicap debut last time and whilst I think ultimately she will be best suited by 3m this mares race is a nice stepping stone. Bruce rides and 10 run.
