Home Remedies For Coughing

1. Honey And Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil and honey are naturally appetizing supplements, so it’s not difficult to make your dog lick up the remedy.

Honey: The recommended dose for small or medium dogs, half a teaspoon of honey is enough and for larger dogs, one full teaspoon for up to 3-4 times a day.

Coconut Oil: 10 pounds of body weight /1 teaspoon and you should divide this up during the day. For example, if your dog is 40 pounds, you can administer one teaspoon 4 times a day. Check the dog’s stool, when it becomes greasy or loose, and then stop the coconut oil.

2. Cinnamon:

This is a great dietary supplement and safe for dogs. Half a spoon of cinnamon daily will not only pacify the cough but also help counteract any viral infection.

3. Flush Your Dog’s Sinuses:

Relieve your dog’s nose with natural, organic ingredients found in Nozzle Nectar or Snout Soother. Flush your dog’s sinuses with a saline flush to flush out mucus. This allows your dog to breathe easier. Run a humidifier or place a vaporizer in the area your dog has to increase air moisture and humidity.

4. Hot Shower:

When you take a hot shower, you can bring your dog into the bathroom. Run hot water in the shower with the door closed for 10 minutes or so. You can also use essential oils (like eucalyptus or peppermint oil) or a good vaporizer like Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier.
